Delhi Public School, Gautam Buddha Nagar successfully hosted the third edition of the Inter-School Mathfest on July 22, 2025, coinciding with Pi Approximation Day (22/7), a fitting tribute to the mathematical constant pi and the legacy of Srinivasa Ramanujan, a legendary mathematician. The event provided a platform for Students from 29 schools to showcase their mathematical talents. The event featured a range of exciting competitions, including Rang Tarang, Math Vogue, Brain Train, Dance to Infinity, and Mathematics Modelling Challenge.
Dr. Sanjeev Bansal, Additional Vice Chancellor, Amity University, graced the event as the chief guest. The presence of experts such as Ms. Poonam Kalra, a distinguished educator, PGT and Supervisory Head; Ms. Nazia Khan, Founder of Social Reinvent; Dr. Neetu Malhotra, Principal of Satyam Fashion Institute; Ms. Devika Sharma, Senior Editor-in-Chief; Shreya Dhoundial, Senior Editor and anchor at CNN News 18; Mr. Pinaki Ranjan Bera, MFA gold medalist; Ms. Monika Sood; Dr. Pankaj; and Ms. Jyoti Gupta added lustre to the event. The ceremony began with the lamp lighting by the Chief Guest, judges, and Principal Ms. Supriti Chauhan.
Students from grades I and II of DPS, GBN impressed the audience with their portrayals of famous mathematicians, including Ramanujan, Shakuntala Devi, and Aryabhatta. The event also featured energetic dance performances by DPS, GBN Students. The Mathfest showcased the talents of Students from various schools, who participated with enthusiasm and zeal. Winners were awarded accolades for their outstanding performances. The Inter-School Mathfest was a resounding success, providing an enriching experience for both the host School and participating Schools.
